With just a simple touch of the  button, the compact Airbank Puffer Pro effortlessly inflates your board to the specific PSI you set. Press the power button to reveal the screen, set your desired PSI, and then give the same button a gentle 1-2 second press. Witness as it seamlessly pumps air into your board, making the process a breeze. Furthermore, this impressive unit automatically halts once it reaches your preset PSI. When it's time to pack up, the Puffer Pro swiftly deflates your board via the deflation port. We firmly believe that this pump will quickly become your go-to SUP accessory. Always keep it within reach, fully charged, and ready for action.

When searching for a portable air pump, it's natural to seek something that is compact, lightweight, easy to carry, and user-friendly. The Airbank Puffer Pro, a rechargeable pleasure, fulfills all these requirements and more. As an added bonus, you have the flexibility to power it up in two ways: via the rechargeable battery or a 12V DC power outlet, such as a vehicle's cigarette lighter.

This pump boasts an elegant, super compact design while accommodating a range of standard inflatables. Additionally, it comes equipped with 7 versatile nozzles suitable for SUP, surfing kite, inflatable bed, air mattresses, beach balls, and similarly sized sports equipment.

With the monitor displaying real-time PSI readings, you can easily keep track of your inflation progress. Plus, rest assured that the pump will automatically cease pumping once it attains the designated PSI, alleviating any concerns about overinflation. And the Airbank Puffer Pro has a USB-C port so you can charge your phone too!

Everything you need fits in this small carry case.

Inflation timing - a frame of reference:

There are 5 bars on the Airbank Puffer Pro to gauge how much battery has been used. The pump charges to a maximum of 20 PSI, showing 0.1 PSI increments.

We pumped up the 14’ Bluefin Explorer and a 12’ 6” Red Paddle Company Explorer:

The 14’ Bluefin took 12.5 minutes to inflate to 17 PSI, leaving 2 bars of battery life left. There was 7.2 PSI left before the battery stopped.

The 12’ 6” Red Paddle Co. took 12 minutes to inflate to 17 PSI, also leaving 2 bars of battery life left.

In both cases, there is not enough battery left to inflate 2 boards of this size without charging the Airbank Puffer.

We pumped up the The 12’ 6” Red Paddle Co. board again to 15 psi -  that took 9.5 minutes to inflate with 4 bars remaining. If you do the math, that means you could pump 2 boards this size at 15 psi. Or inflate two 10’ boards at 12 - 15 psi with one charge.

Logic dictates:

Pump up your board in the shade to keep the pump as cool as possible. If you do not have access to shade over the hot sun you may not be able to start pumping a second board as it will be too hot to start up again. At that point a 30 minute cool down is in order before the next use. Regardless of how many bars remain, you will need to cool it down again before it will operate.

Charging the battery for the Airbank Puffer Pro:

Note: after inflation is complete it is necessary to wait 30 minutes to cool down the motor in order to charge the battery again. To charge from 0 to full charge it takes 2 1/2 hours to get back to 5 bars.

Warranty:

Free replacement or repair up to 1 year from purchase date.

Noise level:

The decibels at the second stage of pumping increases after the first stage. The first stage fills the board up to the start of pressure building, hence more sound. Likely you will be using the pump outdoors - In this case the sound is not an issue.

Extras

There are 2 washers to customize fit (red and orange). Each of the two washers were used during this review; the Bluefin required the orange washer for a tight fit and the Red Paddle Co required the red washer for a tight fit. Both worked well with no air leakage.

"...we believe you will want to add one of these to you Sup bag, charged and ready to go for where ever your next adventure takes you."

Summary:

This pump is easy to use, beautifully portable, comes with extras to fit standard inflatables, and pumps up a large board at a safe speed  A concern for over-pumping is nil. Once you understand its limitations (as with any electric pump), we believe you will want to add one of these to you Sup bag, charged and ready to go for where ever your next adventure takes you.
