Dockslocks locking system

NRS Unisex Neoprene Wetsocks 2 mm

April 25/14

DESCRIPTION

NRS uses a Neoprene manufacturing process called Terraprene – a calcium carbonate,  limestone manufacturing process rather than oil. Terraprene means more cells and more cells mean more insulation and more warmth. As well this material is lighter and more buoyant.

QUALITY

The quality portrayed in their advertising holds true. Workmanship is very good.

SIZING

The chart given to choose size is not accurate. I wear a women’s size 8 1/2 shoe and B width. According to their chart a medium is my size. I found the medium to be too long and too wide. Although I use them with a neoprene shoe that is also “roomy”. In this scenario the two pieces work together. If you like a loose fit, this is the sock for you.

WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE

  • Because they fit loose, they are not ideal to use alone (without a water shoe).
  • These socks are described as seamless. What they really mean is seamless at the sides. There is a flat lock seam travelling from the top centre front of the sock, down to the toe and around to the top back. This seam is flat but has the potential to rub depending on the fit for you..

NRS Women’s kicker remix wet shoe

April 25/14

DESCRIPTION

The upper is 3mm terraprene neoprene. 2 mm plastic shim in the sole gives added protection from rocks.

QUALITY

Excellent quality.

SIZING

These shoes fit very small. I am a women's 8 1/2 B width. I had to buy a size 10 to fit. They are very wide across the toes. There is plenty of room to add a neoprene sock.

WHAT I KNOW FOR SURE

  • Good looking and very well made
  • These shoes are very well made and very comfortable
  • I can walk on a rocky river bed and feel totally protected.
  • Nice and warm.
  • The wide velcro strap keeps the foot securely in place.
  • Good traction and plenty of protection for rocky rivers or uneven ground.
